On 24 May 2022, Swissgrid Ltd again successfully placed a bond on the capital market. The volume amounts to CHF 175 million.
Swissgrid Ltd today launched a bond in the shorter maturity segment. It comprises CHF 175 million with a coupon of 1.1% and a maturity of five years. The bond will be listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. Swissgrid had already placed three bonds with different maturities on the capital market last August.
The proceeds of this bond will be used to repay current financial liabilities and to finance ongoing investments and procurement costs.
The modernisation of the transmission grid is the key to a sustainable energy future. As the backbone of a secure energy supply, the transmission grid makes a key contribution to achieving the goals of Energy Strategy 2050. Swissgrid will continue to access the capital market as required in future in order to fulfil its role and guarantee grid security in the long term.
